About Us

The School of Vocational Teacher Education is a unit of Oulu University of Applied Sciences. It is one of the five such Schools in Finland. It is also the northernmost of the Schools.

The School of Vocational Teacher Education offers to the teachers of the polytechnics and vocational institutions a flexible training program which also enables specialization. The vocational teacher training (60 ECTS credits) is a program for gaining the teacher’s qualification online. There is also a similar program in English called  EduLab Oulu.

The vocational teacher university also trains specialists in competence-based qualifications. This education is in Finnish.

Additionally, there are many on-going projects that aim to advance teaching, learning and knowledge.
