Students attending a degree programme instructed in Finnish are selected through the joint application system based on school certificates, work experience, and possible entrance examinations. There are two intakes a year: in March - April and September. For these students, fluency in Finnish language is a requirement, as well as a certificate of matriculation, an upper secondary school (high school) certificate, an International or European Baccalaureate certificate, a Reifeprüfung certificate, a post-secondary school certificate, or a higher vocational level certificate, or some other vocational certificate.
The application period for the three international degree programmes conducted in English, the Degree Programme in Business Information Technology (BBA), the Degree Programme in International Business (BBA) and the Degree Programme in Information Technology (BEng), takes place annually in January. Students are selected to the international degree programmes through the Finnish national joint application system for Higher Education. For international degree programme students, fluency in English, a certificate of matriculation and a passed entrance examination are required.
