The International Relations of Oulu University of Applied Sciences provides Finnish survival Courses for exchange students and trainees.
The course will consist of basics of Finnish language and culture. See the course description in the ECTS Information Package.
Course dates
In the academic year 2009 - 2010 there will be altogether five (5) courses. Contents of all of them will be the same. The courses will start from the very basics and therefore earlier Finnish skills are not needed for participation.
Autumn term
Course A: 15 September - 15 October 2009 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 16:30 – 19:00
Course B: 11 November - 10 December 2009 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 16:30 – 19:00
Spring term
Course C: 19 January - 25 February 2010 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 16:30 – 19:00
Course D: 8 February - 24 March 2010 on Mondays and Wednesdays at 16:30 – 19:00
Course E: 6 April - 18 May 2010 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 16:30 – 19:00
The courses will be held in the premises of the School of Vocational Teacher Education, Albertinkuja 20, FI-90100 Oulu (downtown), Lecture Room 309 (3rd floor) at 16:30 - 19:00.
In addition to these courses the School of Business and Information Management arranges the following courses: Basic Finnish Language and Culture I, Basic Finnish Language and Culture II and Basic Finnish Language III; and the Raahe School of Engineering and Business a Finnish Language and Culture for Foreign Students course for their own incoming exchange students as daytime teaching.
Registrations
There are 35 student places on each course. Places will be filled in the order of registration. If the course of your primary choice is already fully booked, please register for another one.
