Entrance Exams Abroad

The Degree Programmes in Business Information Technology, Information Technology and International Business organise entrance exams abroad in co-operation with the FINNIPS-network (Finnish Network for International Programmes). The FINNIPS network consists of 22 Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences. These Universities of Applied Sciences offer approximately 70 Bachelor’s Degree Programmes that are conducted in English. The exams of the network will be held outside Finland in April 2012.

Oulu UAS will invite applicants who have demonstrated their eligibility and language skills by the set date to participate in the entrance exams in the countries listed at the bottom of this page.

Applicants applying from these countries will get detailed information of the exam in the invitation letter.

To make up your mind about which 1–4 degree programmes to apply for, you can check which degree programmes in Finland accept the entrance exam of each other on the website of the Finnish National Board of Education.

At the same site you can also check which Universities of Applied Sciences/degree programmes arrange entrance exams abroad and in which countries.

Entrance Examinations in Exceptional Cases in the Finnish Embassies Abroad

In exceptional cases the entrance examination may be taken on the same day as in Finland in the Finnish Embassies in European, Asian or North- and South-American countries (www.formin.fi -> Diplomatic missions) or in the Finnish Cultural and Academic Institutes abroad (www.institute.fi), if the country in question is not already mentioned in the lists above. Exams cannot, however, be arranged in honorary consulates. The entrance examination arrangements will have to be agreed on with the Admissions Office of Oulu University of Applied Sciences. International applicants will receive detailed instructions for procedures that need to be undertaken in the invitation letter. Note that it depends on the goodwill, resources and facilities of the Embassies and Cultural Institutes, if they are able to supervise the exams for the candidates. Oulu UAS cannot affect the decisions of the Finnish Embassies and Cultural Institutes.
