At the beginning of your studies you will receive a student ID, with which you get access to your personal home folder and remote use service of the Oulu UAS library, as well as email. To receive a student ID, you are required to accept the IT rules by providing your signature. The unit's contact person for open studies supplies the rules and user IDs for the first classroom lesson. The IDs for students attending online courses are sent by regular mail.

Every unit has IT facilities intended for students, and some of the facilities are also available in the evenings and weekends. The information letter will contain details about the availability of IT facilities. The letter also tells you how you can contact the unit's IT support if required.
