Professional Specialisation Studies are extensive further education programmes whose extent is mainly 30 or 60 credits. Teaching modes and tuition fees depend on the study programme.

The required basic education differs depending on the education one is applying to. The applicant is requested to acquaint oneself with the degree programme specifice selection criteria before applying.

Earlier Bachelor's degree, work experience and/or earlier higher education studies are emphasised in the selection criteria.

Changes to the application can be made only during the application period. The applicant must deliver copies of all the required documents to the Admissions Office of Oulu University of Applied Sciences by the end of the application period. In the application phase only the eligibility will be assessed from the certificates. The selection will be done according to the information the applicant has given in the application form. The original certificates will be checked from the accepted applicants. The University of Applied Sciences may cancel the selection if the information the applicant has given is incorrect or false.

Professional Specialisation Studies starting in Autumn 2012 will be informed by March 16. in 2012.

The application period for studies is on April 2. – May 11. in 2012. The online application will be available during the application period at the web page of each studies. The online application will close on the final day of the application period at 16:15 Finnish time. The decision of student selection will be informed to all applicants by June 29. in 2012.
