The student can select courses to his/her personal study plan from the courses that are common for all students of the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. More information on personal study plan is available in Career Planning and Personal Study Plan.

The common studies include courses related to student activities, tutoring and sustainable development. For the students who take part in the international student or trainee exchange there is an orientation course that will be carried out individually in each school. In addition, a survival course in the Finnish language and culture is intended for international exchange students. There is also a tandem language course in German/Finnish, where you can learn a foreign language from a native speaker and at the same time teach him/her your own mother tongue.
