The operation of Oulu University of Applied Sciences is based not only on laws and decrees but also on various administrative decisions and rules. Two integral study-related regulations include Degree Regulations and Examination Regulations. The Degree Regulations were renewed 18 January 2010, and the new Assessment Regulations came into effect on 1 January 2005.

These regulations define, for example, the study offering of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, degree requirements, organisation of examinations, assessment of studies as well as crediting and compensation of studies. It is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the Degree Regulations and Assessment Regulations at the beginning of your studies. The Board of Examiners, operating within Oulu University of Applied Sciences, is responsible for requests for rectification regarding study attainments.
