Oulu University of Applied Sciences uses Asio, a student administration software developed by Asio-Data Oy, which includes several features that benefit student affairs offices, heads of degree programmes, directors of schools and the students.

Through Asio, the study and student affairs offices can prepare study plans, maintain student information (presence/absence, interruptions, training information, Bachelor's theses), create reports (AMKOTA, Statistics Finland) and perform transfers to other systems (for example, KELA, UNTIS and CIMO).

Directors of schools, heads of degree programmes and teachers can use Asio for grading, creating student lists and curricula and preparing lists for distribution during lessons.

Through Asio, the students can enrol in the university of applied sciences as a present or absent student, change their contact information, enrol in study modules as well as studies common to the university of applied sciences, enrol in study modules at the open university of applied sciences, browse and print their study reports, create personal study plans, write student feedback and change their password.

Asio also offers mobile solutions such as SMS, WAP and ASP for certain functions.
