Learning outcomes:

The student learns how to use computers, basic software and networks in his/her studies and later on in business work. The student can identify security issues in personal computing and the Internet.

Contents:

Windows-environment, data management in the computer, basics of PC-hardware, word processing, document layout, spreadsheets, databases, Internet and its services, e-mail. Safe computing.

Requirements:

Exercises on the computer, exams.

Material to be announced at the beginning of the course.

Prerequisites:

No prerequisites needed.

Assessment:

Grading scale 0 - 5.
