Admission requirements for short-term and exchange students

The enrolment of exchange students is governed by bilateral agreements between institutions participating in the student exchange schemes. Separate applications for short-term studies, i.e. to attend certain courses at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, are considered at all times.

If you want to become an exchange student in one or more of the schools of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, please contact the international relations co-ordinator of the school in which you mainly want to study. Information on available courses you can find in our ECTS Information Packages.

The academic year of Oulu University of Applied Sciences runs from late August or the beginning of September to the end of May. The Autumn term ends just before Christmas and the Spring term usually starts in the middle of January. For a smooth start to your studies it is advisable to arrive before the beginning of the term. The orientation programme for exchange students takes place during the first week of each term. You can find further information on holidays and other important dates in our academic calendar.
