The School of Engineering in actively involved in international co-operation including student and staff mobility, development of curriculum and teaching as well as carrying out education and research and development activities in interaction with international partners.
The students of the school are provided with good opportunities for completing their studies in student and trainee exchanges abroad. Annually some 80-100 students go abroad for 3 – 10 months and we welcome a similar amount of students from our international partner universities around the world. We are happy to cooperate with more than 50 higher education institutions all over the world.
In addition to the short term exchange students, the campus hosts also some 100 international degree-seeking students who study in our international Bachelor's Degree Programme in Information Technology. The campus is known for its excellent study and learning environment as well as the cosy and welcoming atmosphere among the students and the staff.
We teach mainly in Finnish, but the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Information Technology is taught entirely in English as well as there is a variety of courses offered for incoming exchange students in English.
We also welcome visiting international teachers and experts. We receive close to one hundred teachers and experts for work periods of varying length annually. Our international teacher exchange week in the spring has already become a tradition and an event to which we all look forward to.
