Research and development – for new cultural contents and experiences
The School of Media and Performing Arts is an active participant in a wide variety of research and development projects that also involve representatives of the stakeholders of the School, the public sector and the business community. Our research and development projects can be local or national or joint efforts at an international level.
In addition to R&D projects, our artistic projects and productions for the wider public – in which our students have a key role – add colour and spice to the daily life of the School.
The School has a key role in promoting research, development and innovation in Oulu University of Applied Sciences. This is illustrated by the fact that the School has two priority coordinators appointed under the strategy of Oulu University of Applied Sciences responsible for "New cultural contents and experiences" and "Internet and innovation technology-based innovations and services".
