1. An overdue notice will be sent on overdue items the following day after the due date. If the items are not returned, another overdue notice will be sent 8 days after the due date. Borrowing rights will be lost if an item is at least 14 days overdue. Borrowing rights will also be lost if reference library items are 7 days overdue or the overdue charges exceed 10 €.
2. After the due date overdue charges will start to accumulate. The charges are
If a loan is 14 days overdue a fine of 6 € will be applied to it.
The maximum charge for simultaneous overdue returns is 30 €.
3. Lost or damaged material can be compensated by substituting it, by paying the price the library has set on it, or by paying the invoice sent by the library. DVDs can only be compensated by paying the price the library sets on them or by paying the invoice sent by the library.

4. A reminder of unreturned items will be sent 15 days after the due date. Unless the items have been returned to the library within a week an invoice will be sent to the customer.
Unreturned loans will be charged using the compensation sums on our price list. Invoicing charges will be added as follows:
If a loan is returned after its invoicing the customer still has to pay the above mentioned invoicing charge.
If the invoice remains outstanding it will be delivered to a debt collection agency. If the loan is returned after this the customer will not have to pay the compensating charges but the invoicing and debt collection charges.
To avoid charges, please, remember to return or renew your loans in time, on due date at the latest.
The list of prices to compensate for overdue and unreturned loans has been confirmed by Pirkko Pietiläinen, director of the library, in decision §99/2006 on April 24, 2006.
The list has been updated on January 13, 2012. The changes have been approved by Minna Koistinen, director of the library, in decision §1/2012 on January 13, 2012. The price list will take effect on January 16, 2012.
The Library reserves the right to change the prices.
