The same library card is valid in all units of the Library of Oulu UAS . The card is free of charge and can be acquired at the service desk in any of the library units. The students of Oulu UAS can use the student card as a library card. The customers of the Library of Oulu UAS can use their library card also in the Oulu City Library. The only condition is that the card functions in the City Library self-service terminals.

The library card is personal and the customer is responsible for the material he/she has borrowed. If the material is damaged or not returned in due time, the library will collect charges according to the Charges on overdue and unreturned or damaged items.

It is the customer's responsibility that his/her contact information is up to date in the library customer register. The Library can be informed about the changes at the library service desk, by e-mail, by phone, or by filling in the form Changes in personal information. The e-mail address given to all students of Oulu UAS is the primary one to be saved into the library customer register.

The library card is valid for ten years. When the contact information is updated or the customer confirms that the information is up to date the card will be valid for another period of ten years.

Outdated customer information can prevent borrowing, renewing loans and making reservations.
