Electronic material

Electronic material acquired by the Library of Oulu UAS include:

full text databases where you can search for full text articles of electronic journals
factual databases e.g. dictionaries or legislation databases
reference databases where you can search for references in literature and journal articles
electronic books

The staff and students of Oulu UAS are offered remote access to electronic services via the remote access server of Oulu UAS.

In September 2006 the Oulu UAS Nelli-portal (National electronic library interface) was opened. Above mentioned electronic databases, electronic journals, and library databases have been gathered in one portal where you can search for information in several databases simultaneously.

In Nelli-portal you can:

search in pre-defined sets of databases (QuickSearch)
search in several databases simultaneously (MetaSerch)
search and choose electronic journals by subject or by journal title (Find e-Journal)
search and choose databases by subject or by title (Find Database)
locate material in libraries (QuickSearch Libraries in Oulu region)

The library units of Oulu UAS offer instruction on the usage of the portal. You can also ask for help in using Nelli at the service desks of the library units.
