The School of Music, Dance and Media is a youthful, visible and audible part of the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The Degree Programmes in Music and Dance Teacher Education started on 1.8.1999 and the Degree Programme in Communication in autumn 2000.

The Degree Programme in Music includes the options of Music Pedagogue, Music Instructor, Musician, Church Music and Pop and Jazz Music. The Degree Programme in Dance Teacher Education includes the options of Classical Ballet, Folk Dance, Competitive Ballroom Dance, Social Dance and Show Dance. The Degree Programme in Communication includes the options of Journalism, Visual Communication and Media Production.
