The Degree Programme in Communication educates experts (journalists, media producers and visual communicators) to serve the needs of business life in Northern Finland. The Department of Communication plays an important role in the content and media field in Oulu. Cooperation with businesses and organizations in the region is active and students have excellent employment opportunities in the region.

Our facilities and equipment are up-to-date. New production and distribution technology is applied to real-world communication needs and the school is able to quickly and flexibly react to changes in its operational environment.

The Department of Communication has numerous cooperation partners all over the world. Both staff and students are encouraged to participate in international activity. Consequently, graduates are well prepared for international duties. The work environment at the department encourages entrepreneurship.
