Professional specialisation studies are extensive further education programmes based on a Bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences, whose scope is normally 30 or 60 ECTS credits. Implementation depends on the educational field.

In spring 2009 it is possible to apply for admission to for example the following specialization studies in the Degree Programme in Music which begin in autumn 2009:

• Advanced instrument studies (60 ECTS credits)
• Specialization studies in church music (60 ECTS credits)
• Master of Arts, Music Performance specialization studies (60 ECTS credits) in collaboration with the Piteå College of Music / Luleå University of Technology (Sweden)
