The research and development activities of the School of Business and Information Management emphasise the development of business and IT expertise and related services in co-operation with the business life in Northern Finland and other partners. Improving the know-how of both enterprises and the university is a central objective of the activities.

The parties involved in the projects benefit from the co-operation and, in turn, improve the regional business environment of SMEs in Northern Finland, and contribute to the innovation of new business and IT solutions and approaches.
