Studies abroad are a great way to increase your cultural and language skills and to learn how to operate in international study and work environments. An exchange period of 3-12 months is recommended by the School of Business and Information Management, and exchange periods can be taken either during the spring or autumn term. Studies completed abroad are included in full in the students’ Finnish degree. Studies can be completed in English at partner universities, but it is also possible to study in the native language of each country of exchange.
Student exchanges are carried out under Erasmus programme (EU and EEA countries), under FIRST programme (Russia) and under the North2North Programme (Nordic countries). All of the programmes offer financial support for studies abroad. Student exchange can also be carried out within bilateral agreement in USA, Thailand, China, Russia and in Korea. Oulu University of Applied Sciences pays travel grant to above-mentioned countries. Students can also receive student benefit for their exchange studies from Kela. Tuition fees are waived at the partner universities of the School of Business and Information Management.
