The research and development activities of the School of Business and Information Management emphasise the development of business and information technology expertise and related services in co-operation with business life in Northern Finland and other partners. Improving business life skills and the competence of the University of Applied Sciences is central to the R&D activities.
The parties involved in the projects benefit from the co-operation and, in turn, improve the regional business environment of SMEs in Northern Finland, as well as contribute to the innovation of new business and IT solutions and approaches. The School of Business and Information Management’s projects include extensive research, development and training projects in the fields of competence of the School’s degree programmes. Projects can be initiated by business organisations, partners or by the School itself.
