7B00BH87 Molecular Biology and Gene Technology II (3 cr)
Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives The student knows the basic methods in gene technology, and deepens his/her knowledge about the application of cell and molecular biology techniques in laboratory work. The student familiarises him/herself with the techniques used in transfection of DNA into eukaryotic cells.
Content Transfection of DNA into eukaryotic cells by calcium phosphate precipitation method: transfection control by X-gal staining. Current issues.
