Prerequisites | The course fits for the second year students. Social and health care experience preferrable. |
Objectives | The student knows the basics of sexual health, and the ethical, cultural, biological and psychological dimensions of sexuality. He/she knows at least one extent of sexuality and understands its significance in nursing. The student understands sexuality as a natural part of life. The student knows measures for promoting sexual health among children and adolescents, and has knowledge about the impact of the most common diseases on sexuality. |
Content | Sexuality. Sexual health among children and adolescents. Promotion of sexual health. Dimensions of sexuality. Sexual disorders. The PLISSIT model and concelling. |
