Description


TK00BP43 Mathematics-Physics-Statics (20 cr)
Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives The student is able to recognize the essential principles of conservation for solving natural scientific problems by using quantity equations, graphical diagrams, vectors and trigonometric. S/he has adequate knowledge of mathematics and physics and is able to apply those skills in vocational studies.
Content MATHEMATICS (4+4 ECTS)
Basic algebra, functions, equations (algebraic, exponential, trigonometric etc.), geometry, vectors, differential calculus.

PHYSICS (3 + 4 ECTS)
System of SI units, kinematics, dynamics, work, power, energy. Mechanical laws of conservation. Rotational motion and rotation of rigid body. Basics on physics of fluids: pressure, Bernoulli's law. Heat, heat expansion, transfer of heat and basic laws of thermodynamics. Electrostatics and basics on DC-circuits.

STATICS (5 ECTS)
Plane and space statics of a particle. Plane Statics of a rigid body. Stresses of plane mechanisms and parts. Space statics of a rigid body. Friction applications.
