Objectives | The student is able to recognize the essential principles of conservation for solving natural scientific problems by using quantity equations, graphical diagrams, vectors and trigonometric. S/he has adequate knowledge of mathematics and physics and is able to apply those skills in vocational studies. |
Content | MATHEMATICS (4+4 ECTS) Basic algebra, functions, equations (algebraic, exponential, trigonometric etc.), geometry, vectors, differential calculus. PHYSICS (3 + 4 ECTS) System of SI units, kinematics, dynamics, work, power, energy. Mechanical laws of conservation. Rotational motion and rotation of rigid body. Basics on physics of fluids: pressure, Bernoulli's law. Heat, heat expansion, transfer of heat and basic laws of thermodynamics. Electrostatics and basics on DC-circuits. STATICS (5 ECTS) Plane and space statics of a particle. Plane Statics of a rigid body. Stresses of plane mechanisms and parts. Space statics of a rigid body. Friction applications. |
