Raahe School of Engineering and Business offers an unique opportunity to study in an international environment. Our school awards bachelor's degrees in Engineering and Business Administration and smaller study modules. It is possible to study all the way up to a doctorate on our university campus.
Our school educates experts in engineering and business for expert tasks in the Raahe/Oulu area and for international positions. It is possible to study in either Finnish or English. The education is provided in close cooperation with companies from the area and actors from the sub-region. Our school's five degree programmes have a total of about 700 engineering and business students.
Research and development is one of our school's main tasks and is a regional development task. Its purpose is to develop the teaching of the university and serve the needs of employers. The Per Brahe Software Laboratory, with about 20 researchers, operates in association with the School. The Software Laboratory's projects offer students training jobs and thesis work. Raahe School of Engineering and Business is a valuable cooperation partner in projects for companies from the area.

By combining education with research and development work and through networking with national and international cooperation partners, the Raahe School of Engineering and Business educates experts in three mutually complementary fields, preparing them for international operations. Forecasting changes and developing education are based on the results of applied research, product development and projects to develop working life, the participation of teaching staff and students in development work and cooperation with experts from the region.
