
The school is situated in Raahe, 75 kilometres southwest of Oulu and 600 kilometres north of the capital of Finland, Helsinki.
Raahe is an old seafaring town with a beautiful shore and many islands. Its main industries are steel and the rapidly growing high-technology industry. Raahe has about 23,000 inhabitants and long traditions as an educational town offering a high level of education through its many schools: Raahe Business College, Lybecker Institute of Arts and Handicraft, Raahe Vocational School, the Vocational Adult Education Centre of Raahe, the Raahe Unit of the University of Oulu.
