Production Studio

The Raahe Region Technology Centre is responsible for the development and administration of Steelpolis, a production studio which offers technological and expert services in the metal sector. In addition to the resources of the production studio, services are offered in cooperation with a network of experts which complement the studio's know-how. In Raahe the production studio is specialised in material and coupling technology for steel structures.

The implementation of the ProMetal network know-how centre programme is based on the operations of regional and specialised production studios. The Raahe region technology centre creates and develops competitive company operations in the metal and ICT sectors together with the region's industry and commerce, municipalities and research and educational organisations. The work is implemented through business-oriented development programmes and projects as well as through the learning centre programme.

The studio’s tasks include the following:

research and development activities
technology transfers
educational and expert services
production and testing services
and joint marketing for the field technology services for business incubator operations
