Oulu University of Applied Sciences is maintained by the Oulu Region Joint Authority for
Education, and the highest authority is exercised by the General Assembly of the Joint Authority, with the Executive Board operating under its authority. The administration of Oulu University of Applied Sciences is arranged as a public utility belonging to the Joint Authority and having its own internal Board.

The School of Engineering is one of the seven schools of Oulu University of Applied Science.
