Bachelor of Laboratory Services
Students of the Degree Programme in Laboratory Sciences attain excellent skills in chemistry, laboratory work, analytical methods and instrument use as well as in processing and reporting results. In addition, students improve their mathematical and scientific ways of thinking. These all are important skills for a Bachelor of Laboratory Services who is required to work in expert and supervisor positions as well.
The Option of Biotechnology provides the students with in-depth knowledge of genetic engineering, bioprocesses and protein analysis. Graduates are mainly employed by food and pharmaceutical industry as well as government laboratories and various research institutes. They can be in expert and supervisor positions or work in quality control, research and development jobs.
The Option of Laboratory Analytics offers the students broader knowledge and skills in instrumental techniques and analytical methods including treatment of samples and testing of instruments. Graduates are mainly employed by chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry as well as government laboratories and various research institutes. They can be in expert and supervisor positions or work in quality control, research and development jobs.
The field of Laboratory Sciences requires excellent command of chemical, physical and biochemical research methods.
