Are you going abroad during Christmas season? Remember to follow self-quarantine recommendations

Due to the coronavirus situation, it is recommended to avoid unnecessary travels abroad.

The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare’s (THL) website has a map of countries and quarantine recommendations for those who come to Finland from abroad. There is also information about exceptions to quarantine recommendations.

If you arrive in Finland from a country which is green in the map, you do not need to self-quarantine. If you travel by way of a red or grey country, quarantining is not necessary.

If you arrive in Finland from a country that is red or grey, THL recommends a 10-day self-quarantine.

At the moment, taking a coronavirus vaccine doesn’t free from self-quarantine.
