Keep a safe distance of over two metres

The coronavirus situation in North Ostrobothnia has returned to the acceleration phase. In Oulu, the incidence of new coronavirus cases is still in the spreading stage.
The new coronavirus variant spreads more easily. The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) recommends keeping a safe distance of more than two metres to others. In addition, close contacts should be further reduced. THL recommends that face masks should be worn in public spaces, even if it is possible to maintain a safe distance of over two metres.
This new recommendation doesn’t affect necessary contact teaching on Oamk's campuses. Studies where distance teaching is not possible will still be arranged on campuses by following carefully the safety and hygiene instructions. Update 28.1.: Exams are recommended to be held remotely. If the exam is held on campus, the safety and hygiene instructions are followed carefully.
In addition to maintaining a safe distance of more than two metres and wearing face masks, remember good hand and coughing hygiene. It is also important to get tested even with slight symptoms and to use the Koronavilkku app. As far as corona vaccines, follow your home town’s announcements.
Oamk follows the situation and updates the instructions when necessary.
Remember that with your own action, you are an example to others. So act responsibly on social media as well. Think about what kind of footage you share and what kind of message you give on wearing a face mask and keeping a safe distance, for example.
Although we now have to keep physical distance from each other, let's be there for each other in every other way.
