Lockdown will not affect Oamk’s activities

The coming lockdown due to the coronavirus from 8 to 28 March will not affect Oamk’s activities. We will continue with the model where only studies where distance teaching is not possible will be arranged on campuses by following the safety and hygiene instructions. Theory studies are organized remotely. Update 2.3. at 13.52: Possible restrictions on assembly do not apply to teaching.

The epidemic situation in Oulu is in the acceleration phase. The number of new infections and exposures is on the rise. The situation may change quickly so follow news actively.

You can prevent the spread of the coronavirus and its variants with these familiar instructions:

• Keep a distance of more than 2 metres to other people.
• Maintain good hand hygiene and follow the coughing etiquette.
• Wear a mask when you are in places where there are other people.
• If you get symptoms, go get tested for coronavirus and otherwise stay at home.

This coronavirus situation might start to tire each one of us, but we still need to act responsible. Thank you for doing that! Your responsible acting matters and it helps prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
