Taidepedagogiikan professori Tone Pernille Østern Trondheimin yliopistosta (NTNU) vierailee Oamkin Kotkantien kampuksella viikolla 50. Hän pitää luentodemonstraatiot Tanssisali 3:ssa (Kot1_1560/1) tiistaina 10.12. klo 12.45–14.15 (monialainen taidepedagogiikka) sekä keskiviikkona 11.12. klo 10.00–11.15 (koreografia poeettisena, pedagogisena ja poliittisena toimintana): tarkemmat tiedot alla. 200 billion and 1 – arts, science and philosophy combined in secondary school

200 Billion and 1 was an artistic project within a larger pedagogical research and development project. In the school-based project focus was on how science, philosophy and arts could be combined to develop deep education with 13- and 14 years old at secondary school. The project was led by a dance artist/choreographer, and in this lecture-workshop she tells about the research and development project.

Choreography as poetic, pedagogical and political action in contemporary times

In this lecture-workshop, choreography is explored as extended choreography. Asking how choreography can have value in extended ways and in new contexts in contemporary times, the participants are invited into an exploration of and discussion about how choreography can be understood as poetic, pedagogical an and political action. Processes and emerging results from different parts of an ongoing research project are presented and discussed.

Bio

Tone Pernille Østern, with a Doctor of Arts in Dance from the Theatre Academy/UniArts Helsinki, is a dance artist and Professor in Arts Education with a focus on Dance at NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is active as Artist/Researcher/Teacher, with a special interest in socially engaged (dance) art, dance in dialogue with contemporary times, bodily learning, aesthetic approaches to learning, choreographic processes, qualitative and post-qualitative research methodology, and supervision. She is Head of Arts, Physical Education and Sports, coordinator of the Master program in Arts Education and extensively supervises master and PhD students.
