K1020LY Development of Strategy Based Business Processes (5 cr)
Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives Student identifies the most important customer-oriented business processes from strategic goals' perspective of a company. Student can aquire and combine information for graphical modelling of the core processes and the most important business processes. Student can use a selected modelling tool and model with it business processes in different hierarchy levels. He/She understands the importance of performance measurement of most important business processes from strategic goals perspective. In addition, students is able to manage and develop the most important strategic business processes together with professionals and other personnel of a company.
Content Development of the business processes and strategic management. Business as system which consist of business processes. Value chain and e-business. The entity of business processes' development and its challenges. Hierarchies of business processes and methods and tools of their graphical modelling. From the vision of a company to a creation of performance measurement of business processes. Balanced scorecard as an example of peroformance measurement. The most essential requirements for Enterprise Resource Planning from business core processes' point of view in management and control.
