Objectives | Student understands the contents of financial statements and is able to make some basic conclusions about the welfare of a company. Student knows basic principles of profitability accounting and can utilise information on profitability supporting decision making. Student understands the importance of budgeting in planning business operations and can prepare the most important budgets. |
Content | Analysing financial statements and accounting ratios. The role of management accounting in decision making: Cost-Volume-Profit analysis. Pricing. Budget system, partial and main budgets, methods of budgeting, budget monitoring. |
